snow

We've had lots of snow lately, thankfully we're just a bit north of those who have received 2 feet or more. Today our little country victorian town had a display of ice scultures in the park. Some people are incredibly talented! We arrived too late for the chili cookoff...sniff sob sob.

Startitis

I don't know who came up with the term "Startitis" but boy do I have it bad.

Here's the one I started tonight. It's called "Gnome Party." (an old lanarte kit)
I admire those who finish something before starting another but I don't seem to have that ability. Therefore my started projects are beyond count!
On the homefront-still staying with my sister. DH still trying to find work. Doggone cold out.
but beautiful!
Happy Stitching,
Cari

Lots of Changes!

Note I have changed the name of my blog to reflect my new digs-Pennsylvania! (the big move will happen in a few weeks.)
My illness necessitated my retirement and California, whilst beautiful, is too expensive for us at the moment. Please keep us in your prayers...it's a BIG move and I am a horrible packrat. It's so hard to let go of all the STUFF.
Got to get back to packing!

Little Happy Dance!

This is Tending the Blooms by my favorite designers...Shepherd's Bush. It was a quick little stitch. I'm thinking of finishing it into a scissors holder necklace. (0r sending it over to Deb Hunter, finisher extraordinaire if I chicken out)

Blackbird Designs Contest Entry

Here's my entry for the Blackbird Designs Blog contest...Maya Teresa is my brand new great niece! I found pretty piece of lavender dupioni in my stash...maybe I'll make this into a little pillow...still undecided!
I used 32ct. hand-dyed Beach Plum linen and a Needle Necessities Thread from my stash.

Free pattern and details on Alma and Barb's blog- http://blackbird-designs.blogspot.com/

I so love French goodies...hope I win!

Some lovely gifts from far away!

In the last couple weeks I've received two wonderful exchanges!

From Monika in Hungary:

Her stitching is so nice and she has only been at it for a couple of years! Apologies for the poor scan. Thanks so much Monika!

This international exchange was http://swapwithnina.blogspot.com/ put together by the very talented stitcher Nina in Hungary.

Next, dear Carol of http://carolsxsblog.blogspot.com/ Garden of Stitches put together a biscornu exchange for me because my partner disappeared. (let's hope she is okay!)

It's so lovely and Purple! (my favorite color!) I'm stealing her picture because it is so much better than my scan. Thanks Carol! You are so sweet for doing that!
The pictures never seem to go where I want them!
On the home front, I've been very sick lately and would appreciate your prayers!
